When you create an account or set up an alert, we collect your email address and optionally your phone number. We also store your alert preferences (park, camp, dates, accommodation type).
We use your email and phone number solely to send you campsite availability alerts you have explicitly signed up for. We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than delivering the alert service.
If you provide a phone number and subscribe to a Pro or Premium plan, we will send you WhatsApp messages via the Meta Cloud API when a campsite you are watching becomes available. You can remove your phone number at any time from your dashboard to stop WhatsApp notifications.
Your data is stored securely in Upstash (a Redis-compatible cloud store). We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties, except as required to deliver the service (Resend for email, Meta for WhatsApp).
Payments are processed by PayFast. We do not store your payment card details. PayFast's own privacy policy applies to payment processing.
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time by emailing gareth@campcheck.co.za. You can update or remove your phone number from your dashboard at any time.
